Important guidelines for your safety, comfort, and Dandeli adventure

Important Disclosure

Dandeli Safar is an independent travel booking service. We do not own, operate, or directly manage any resorts, hotels, or activity providers in Dandeli. We connect travelers with curated partner resorts and local activity operators who handle all bookings, accommodations, and on-ground services. All final confirmations, payments, and service delivery are managed by our partner establishments.

Dandeli Safar is an independent travel booking service that connects travelers with resort partners and activity providers in Dandeli, Karnataka. We do not own, operate, or directly manage any resorts, hotels, or activity facilities. Our role is to facilitate bookings and provide coordination services between you and our partner establishments.

At Dandeli Safar, our itineraries are designed to balance your comfort, safety, and the authentic experience of exploring Dandeli's wilderness. These guidelines help promote safety, protect wildlife, and create a positive experience for all travelers.

By confirming your booking or paying a deposit, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined below. Every guest must sign the safety and participation documents before the trip commences.

1. Itinerary Flexibility & Program Alterations

Our itineraries are carefully designed to balance your comfort, safety, and authentic wilderness experience. However, minor alterations may occasionally be required to improve your safety, weather comfort, or wildlife viewing opportunities based on real-time conditions.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility when such rare changes occur. All modifications are made with your best interest and safety in mind.

Why changes happen: Weather conditions, forest department advisories, wildlife movements, safety considerations, or unforeseen operational requirements.

2. Wildlife Viewing & Nature Experience

We operate in natural, wildlife-rich environments where sightings depend on the animals' own rhythms and behavior. While we carefully select regions known for rich biodiversity, animal encounters cannot be guaranteed.

We prefer to respect animals' natural behavior rather than influence it. Our guides will position you for viewing opportunities while maintaining ethical wildlife tourism practices.

All wildlife sightings are matters of chance. Dandeli Safar does not claim ownership or control over any wild animals encountered during safaris, treks, or activities.

3. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

We work with local partners, drivers, guides, accommodation providers, and activity coordinators. However, Dandeli Safar, its owners, agents, employees, or representatives shall NOT be held liable for:

  • Any personal injury, illness, accident, or death during travel or activities
  • Loss, theft, damage, or destruction of personal belongings, luggage, valuables, electronics, or documents
  • Misplacement or damage to items left unattended in rooms, vehicles, or common areas
  • Medical emergencies or pre-existing health conditions that worsen during the trip

🔧 Third-Party Services

  • Actions, omissions, negligence, or failures by hotels, resorts, restaurants, or accommodation providers
  • Transportation delays, breakdowns, accidents, or failures (buses, taxis, boats, rafts)
  • Quality of food, hygiene standards, or service at third-party establishments
  • Performance or conduct of local guides, activity operators, or contracted service providers

🌧️ Force Majeure & Uncontrollable Circumstances

  • Natural calamities: floods, landslides, earthquakes, extreme weather, forest fires
  • Government restrictions, curfews, lockdowns, permit denials, or forest closures
  • Strikes, riots, civil disturbances, political unrest, or military actions
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or health emergencies declared by authorities
  • Road blockages, traffic jams, or infrastructure failures
  • Wildlife encounters causing trip delays or cancellations

💰 Financial & Booking Matters

  • Additional expenses incurred due to itinerary changes, delays, or cancellations beyond our control
  • Currency fluctuations, tariff changes, or price adjustments with little or no notice
  • Banking charges, transaction fees, or payment gateway failures
  • Expenses arising from late arrivals, early departures, or voluntary trip modifications by travelers

Participants agree NOT to hold {businessName}, its representatives, or associates liable for any loss, injury, delay, or expense resulting directly or indirectly from events beyond our reasonable control.

4. Pricing & Cancellation Policy

Dandeli Safar reserves the right to alter package fees with reasonable notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as fuel price increases, government tax changes, or operational cost adjustments.

Important: Force majeure events may result in trip modifications or cancellations. In such cases, we will work with resort partners to explore rescheduling options.

Booking Confirmation

Advance token deposits confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Full payment must be made before trip commencement as per booking agreement.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, the advance token amount paid to the resort is non-refundable as per resort partner policies. Rescheduling may be possible subject to availability—contact our team to discuss options.

Rafting Cancellation Due to Water Levels

River rafting activities are dependent on water levels, which vary based on dam release schedules and weather conditions. If rafting is cancelled by authorities due to unsafe water levels, only the rafting token amount collected during booking will be refunded.

  • Rafting activity is subject to water level conditions and forest/dam authority approvals
  • If rafting is cancelled due to water levels, only the rafting token portion will be refunded
  • Resort/accommodation token amounts are non-refundable regardless of rafting cancellation
  • Example: If ₹500 was paid (₹100 rafting token + ₹400 resort token), only ₹100 will be refunded
  • Alternative activities may be offered subject to availability, but are not guaranteed

5. Safety Guidelines & Conduct Rules

For the safety of all travelers and wildlife, all participants must strictly follow rules and regulations set by local guides, trip leaders, forest authorities, and activity coordinators. These guidelines are mandatory and non-negotiable.

Violators of safety rules can be immediately removed from activities or the group, as per forest department regulations and safety protocols. Advance token amount paid is non-refundable in case of removal.

  • ✓Respect nature and leave no trace

Don'ts

  • ✗No feeding or provoking wildlife
  • ✗No littering or polluting natural areas
  • ✗No loud music or disruptive behavior
  • ✗No venturing alone into restricted zones

6. Traveler Responsibilities & Acceptance

Advance token amount is non-refundable in cases of removal due to misconduct or safety violations.

By paying a deposit, confirming a booking, or signing participation documents, travelers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions mentioned herein. Every guest must sign safety waivers before trip commencement.

Personal Responsibility

  • Travelers are responsible for their own belongings, valuables, documents, and personal safety at all times
  • All guests must ensure they are medically fit for adventure activities and disclose any health conditions beforehand
  • Participants must carry valid ID proof, required permits, and necessary medications
  • Travel insurance is highly recommended for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost belongings
  • Consumption of alcohol or intoxicating substances before/during adventure activities is strictly prohibited

Grounds for Removal

We reserve the right to remove any traveler from an activity or trip if:

  • Their actions pose a threat to the safety of others, wildlife, or the environment
  • Their behavior seriously deters other group members from enjoying the experience
  • They consistently violate safety guidelines, forest rules, or code of conduct
  • They engage in illegal activities, harassment, or disrespectful behavior
  • They are under the influence of alcohol or drugs during activities

Pro Tip: Wear layers of clothes rather than one thick jacket. This allows you to adjust to changing temperatures easily.
